Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Talkora, operated by Talkora English. By creating an account you agree to them.

What Talkora is

Talkora provides live, small-group English conversation practice sessions. It is a practice service, not a teaching or tutoring service. We do not provide lessons, teachers, grading, certification, or qualifications of any kind, and nothing we provide should be relied upon as accredited instruction.

Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. New accounts receive one free session credit; creating additional accounts to obtain more free credits is a breach of these terms.
• You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.

Sessions and credits

• Sessions are paid for with credits. A membership adds 4 credits each month; bundles add credits as a one-off purchase.
• Membership credits are valid for two months from the date they are granted. Bundle credits are valid for twelve months. Expired credits are not refunded.
• Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or resold.
• Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled by us if too few people join. Where that happens, your credit is returned.

Conduct

Sessions are shared with other people. Harassment, hate speech, sexual content, and recording other participants without their consent are not permitted. We may remove anyone from a session or terminate an account for this, without refund.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details. Memberships renew automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

Availability

We aim to run sessions reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, particular session times, particular group members, or a particular number of sessions in a given week.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Talkora after that means you accept the updated terms.
